This is loooooooong overdue, but I'm pleased to introduce someone who is turning their dream into a reality.  Her story is quite remarkable, so take a second to learn about this very influential person in my life.  You might just get inspired to go out and pursue your own dream.  

So, who would ever think about leaving the comfort of their job as a Chemical Engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense in order to pursue their passion for writing?  Meet Sakinah Hofler.  This is her story.

Surround Yourself With the Dreamers and the Doers...

I am blessed and fortunate enough to be surrounded by individuals who turn their dreams into reality.  These individuals go against the grain, and decide to pursue their passions regardless of what anyone else may say.  I salute them, because to me, these individuals are my heroes, wether they know it or not.  Sometimes it's their bravery that inspires me.  Sometimes it's their resilience that inspires me.  

Meet my very dear friend, Aja.  Her passion is what inspires me.  She's a dreamer.  She's a doer.

I Suck.

Sorry folks, no Kanye-isms today.  Why?  Because I'm going to praise a really DOPE rapper, and friend, that I'm truly fond of -- Reyshizz.

While he's not your typical rapper (you're not going to really hear about guns or money, hoes, & clothes), he's definitely killing the game right now.  One of my many sources of "Inspiration".

Instead of Sending Flowers, We're the Roses.

This past weekend, I took a flight to Haiti to bury my grandfather.   It was a chance to pay my final respects with the knowledge that I will have to live with my own demons for awhile.  I'm not going to get too personal in this post, but I will say that I was unable to bring myself to take pictures of the funeral.  In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't take any pictures of the funeral.

There are several reasons/people as to why I mustered up the courage to actually take this "photography thing" and go forward with it -- FULL SPEED.
